In a unexpected collaboration that challenges usual forecasts, the game developer has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Uncovered

According to the formal statement, "A strange encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying changes echo through the obscurity." The plot features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine group.

The questline centers on "peculiar trials and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses

The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an exclusive katana alongside several artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
